I tried installing the default driver, but the installation fails stating that the kernel version isn't supported (It only works on version 3.14), but my Ubuntu version is 16.04, running the default kernel 4.4.0-79-generic, with the KDE environment. I'm not exactly sure how this works with the wi-fi button on the laptop. I'm using a laptop, which has an integrated Wi-Fi connector, but I wanted a better external one. Either that or I haven't figured out how to enable the antenna. ![]() I have a USB antenna that I got here on Amazon, and unlike in How do I install a Realtek Wireless-N USB Adapter on my Linux OS laptop it doesn't appear that the driver is in the driver tree.
